\"Scrollout\"<\/a>\u00a0Have been looking for a simple and good software to scan and forward my emails. I wanted one that was easy to install\/configure\u00a0and hopefully free. My last discovery is ScrolloutF1<\/a> by Marius Gologan. This is a Linux configuration based on Debian.\u00a0This is not a firewall but an mail gateway so it will\u00a0only need 1 ip address.\u00a0It’s\u00a0easy to install , basically boot from the ISO and select your regional settings (keyboard and language). After installation has finished access it through your web browser.At the first page you could change the IP address and DNS settings. If\u00a0 I selected “Use internal DNS server” it would use its own DNS server (127.0.0.1)\u00a0and not the one I configured and there by\u00a0unable to resolve my internal servers.<\/p>\n

Next page “Route” are used to configure your mail domains and next hop server.<\/p>\n

It all worked fine with my primary domain but when I added my second domain\u00a0emails got rejected. This is probably some kind of bug, but\u00a0I\u00a0had to create MX records for all of my domains\u00a0on my DNS server.\u00a0 The\u00a0next\u00a0thing was to configure email address validation using Active Directory. On the\u00a0Route pager click INBOUND\u00a0 and\u00a0enter a domain user account and server fqdn.<\/p>\n

I also added an RBL on the Secure->Levels page.\"sosecure\"<\/a>Added zen.spamhouse.org as RBL provider.<\/p>\n

Finally to verify mail flow take a look at the Monitor->Log page. Here\u00a0you can track\u00a0how inbound\u00a0emails\u00a0are handled by the system.<\/p>\n

Or look at the Monitor->Stat for a graph of you email traffic.\"sograph\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Basically that’s it, now you have your own\u00a0email\u00a0gateway.<\/p>\n

The first thing I miss is a good track\/trace of emails\u00a0and also a better solution to relase emails accidently detected as spam. Also I would like a “Block this IP address”\u00a0list.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
